‘Boro as they are the team most likely to be in the bottom three
I also suspect all the others might spend enough money to give it a fair chance and or have credible managers
Least preferred villa - leave JT where he belongs - the thought of him climbing those steps at wembley is too depressing

Whoever comes up will have a significantly different squad next time around, so there's no point in assessing them as them as they are now.

Villa have a collection of dinosaurs... Terry, Jedinak, Whelan, Samba, Hutton ... and are dependent on Grealish who is the only one who belongs higher.
Boro are dull and solid. Think that’s their club motto.
Unconvinced by Gibson and Traoré is better than he was but still LACKING

Both teams are abysmal. Villa have absolutely nothing except being solid. Boro are just diabolical. Really poor.

Thoughts on Sam Johnstone ...
Not that much to do but a couple of times defenders have been heading balls away 3yds from goal. Would want him to dominate there.
And a couple of long range shots he has a habit of planting his feet and not moving and watching them whistle by.
I like a keeper to be on his toes to make a dive , however DESPAIRING
Would have to see more to think he was a PL keeper for us.

As much as I want us to get Snodgrass sold at a decent price and couldn't bear he thought of Terry in the PL.
Boro will be shit in the PL so no.
We want 2 of Fulham's players but they may not move if Fulham get to the PL, so Derby it has to be.

Didn’t see the game last night but Fulham seem to have hit the wall. 20 odd games unbeaten and then blew their chance at Birmingham and now lost at Derby.
Under enormous pressure on Monday night having been big favourites but never winning a playoff match.
Boro v Villa is at 5.15 today.
If neither of those go up it’s worth looking at a couple of 22yo’s in Adama Traore and Jack Grealish who both seem to have developed some sort of end product.

See Fulham lost there opening game against Derby, only 1-0 but they still have to win at home and given there play off history could we see another failure??? Not sure there is any away goals rule in these play offs, isnt it a straight out win or penalty's if all square after 90 mins in the second leg?

Pride Park is a pig of a ground to get away from after a match. The last time we played there it took about an hour for our coaches to get away as the streets around their ground were utterly gridlocked. On second thoughts, I’d Much prefer Fulham to be promoted.
